POLANCO SOLAR PROJECT

The 50 MW Polanco Solar Power Plant, situated in Barangay Lingasad, Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte, is our flagship 50-megawatt solar development. Designed to support regional grid stability and accelerate the transition toward renewable energy in Mindanao, the facility covers utility-scale solar arrays, inverter stations, and dedicated grid-interconnection infrastructure.

Since breaking ground on September 1, 2025, the construction team has successfully executed major site civil works, mounting structure installations, and PV module placement, advancing total progress to nearly 90% as of July 30, 2026. Commissioning and testing phases are underway to ensure full readiness for Commercial Operation in October 2026.

Key Project Challenges

Grid Interconnection & Transmission Capacity: Coordinating testing, synchronization, and final approval with the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) to manage local substation capacity and prevent grid curtailment during peak production hours.
Logistics & Material Transport: Navigating heavy-equipment and component freight logistics (inverters, transformers, PV panels) through local ports (such as Pulauan Port in Dapitan) and rural access roads leading into Barangay Lingasad.
Weather & Monsoon Conditions: Managing localized earthworks, panel tilt installation, and cable trenching during heavy rainfall and monsoon seasons common to Mindanao, requiring adaptive construction scheduling and soil erosion management.
Land Preparation & Topography: Addressing site grading and civil engineering requirements across varying rural topography while ensuring optimal solar tilt angles, drainage, and long-term runoff protection.
Permitting & Community Engagement: Ensuring seamless alignment with Local Government Units (LGUs) in Polanco and local community stakeholders regarding land rights-of-way, labor sourcing, and local utility compliance.
